Become a partnerThe Bauges' 'Little Canada', 30 minutes from Chambéry: 150 km of cross-country over a three-gateway plateau — the Nordic area Savoie Nordic calls France's busiest.

Savoie Grand Revard is not a downhill resort with some cross-country on the side — it is the reverse. On the Bauges massif plateau, 'sometimes nicknamed 'Little Canada'', three gateways — La Féclaz (Les Déserts), Le Revard and Saint-François-de-Sales — open '150 km of Nordic ski trails', groomed for skating and classic, doubled by some 60 km of snowshoe routes. On the domain's rank, the official sites do not say the same thing: 'France's busiest Nordic area' per savoienordic.com, 'recognised as one of Europe's finest' and 'a Nordic skiing benchmark' per chamberymontagnes.com — we quote each formula. The Nordic snowmaking network is given as 'France's largest'.
Alpine exists, at its own scale: '30 km of runs over two sectors', 26 mostly-blue runs, 2 chairlifts, 2 carpets and 4 drag lifts — a learning domain 30 minutes from Chambéry and 35 from Aix-les-Bains. Winter stretches beyond skiing: biathlon, dog sledding, yooner, snow fatbiking, and the 'Hibou evenings' night skiing 'every Tuesday and Thursday evening, from 5 pm to 8:30 pm'.
As of 18 August 2026 the 2026-27 season was not dated — though the 2026-27 Nordic rates are already online (adult day at €12.50). For reference, Nordic 2025-26 opened 'from 22 November… snow conditions permitting' until 6 April, alpine 20 December to 22 March. Access to the Nordic trails is paid (trail fee). In summer, the plateau turns to hiking, the bike park, summer biathlon and the rail sledge.
