Valmorel, in the commune of Les Avanchers-Valmorel, opens onto the Grand Domaine: 'The Grand Domaine of Valmorel stretches over 3,600 hectares, from 1,250 to 2,550 metres' with '165 km of runs', gathering 'the resorts of Valmorel, Saint-François-Longchamp, Doucy and Celliers' — the Valmorel-only pass (with Doucy) covering '95 km of runs'. Four beginner areas, four freeride zones and 50 km of waymarked walking and snowshoe trails round out the picture.
The free offers are published in black and white on the official ticket shop: the 'Bois de la Croix carpet (free)' and the 'Cheval Blanc drag lift (free)' to start without a pass — and the free village-heart sledging area: 'This sledge run sits at the heart of the Valmorel resort. Fully secured around a pirate theme, open by day and lit at night' ('Skiers and dogs forbidden on the zone!').
The 2026-27 season is published: 18 December 2026 to 10 April 2027 — 'Opening 18 December!', announces the homepage. In summer the resort lives from 4 July to 30 August 2026. In winter, the free floodlit sledge run stretches the day past the closing of the slopes.
