Above Moûtiers, the Hautecour artistic trail — Lez'Arts en Adret — displays land-art works in natural materials, whose themes are renewed each spring, around and from the Hautecour lake. The trail has been labelled 'Promenade Savoyarde de Découverte' and 'Promenade confort' by the Département de la Savoie since 2014.
Two waymarked formats: the Liberté loop, 4.3 km, 2h30, +222 m, rated easy with PR waymarking; and a 700 m 'Promenade Confort', 40 minutes, +40 m, for pushchairs and short legs.
Access is from Moûtiers via the D85 towards Hautecour, parking near the plan d'eau. Free, as befits an open-air museum.
Spring to autumn — and preferably after the spring renewal of the works, to discover the year's themes.
