Become a partnerAn hour's 'Comfort Walk' around a forest lake and its footbridge, stroller-friendly — and in winter the same loop changes name, length and grade: both sheets are quoted.

The Rosière lake loop, at the foot of the Avals valley (Courchevel Moriond), is classed a 'Comfort Walk' by Courchevel Tourisme: 1.8 km, about 1 h, 40 m of climb, easy, up to 1,686 m. The office's family blog calls it 'perfectly suited to families with young children', with a 'stroller-accessible path'. Along the way: the footbridge across the lake, the Père Fritsch botanical trail, a beginners' via ferrata, and newts to spot. The Poux waterfall, close by, has our separate page.
A paper curiosity, quoted as it stands: in winter the same site publishes a snowshoe 'Rosière lake loop' — 3.5 km, 1 h 45, +180 m, rated 'Difficult' (1 December to 30 April), with this warning: 'take care not to stop beneath the great avalanche couloirs of the Dent du Villard'. Same place, two loops, two seasons — do not set out in winter on the strength of the summer sheet.
The summer loop is announced from 15 April to 31 October (access subject to weather), free, animals accepted. Parking near the lake — often busy: the office advises Cimes Blanches + shuttle. Picnic area and toilets on site.

No — and the official sheets differ: summer 1.8 km / 1 h / easy; winter (snowshoes, 01/12 to 30/04) 3.5 km / 1 h 45 / +180 m / 'Difficult', with an avalanche warning below the Dent du Villard. We quote both.
