What is Base de loisirs du Lac Bleu
The Lac Bleu leisure base, at Saint-Rémy-de-Maurienne, brings together an artificial lake with a free-access beach and a large outdoor pool. Around the water: fishing, pedal boats, canoe-kayak, paddleboarding, an adventure course, mini-golf, beach volleyball, a pump track and a fitness trail. Paddleboard and pedal-boat hire is offered in July and August.
The lake is open all year; swimming is lifeguarded in summer. Sources differ on the exact dates and we give them as they stand: Savoie Mont Blanc announces '20 June to 27 August', while a Maurienne Tourisme listing states swimming is supervised 'in July and August'.
