Below the Miolans hillside, the Lac de Carouge is the Combe de Savoie's big swimming base — over 30,000 visitors on July and August afternoons, the commune writes. Beach access is free; parking is paid from June to September.
Swimming is marked in two zones: a small bath of 1.50 m maximum depth in front of the first-aid post, and a big bath for strong swimmers, over 3 m deep, marked by buoys. On the supervision window the sources differ: the tourist office publishes 1 July to 31 August 2026, 13:00–19:00; an (undated) municipal article says 29 June to 29 August, same hours. We give both.
As for the label: the lake held the Pavillon Bleu for 8 years, not renewed in 2024 — 'we decided to pause for two years', the commune writes, while keeping water analysis every three weeks.
Weekday mornings in summer — the commune itself reports over 30,000 visitors on July-August afternoons. Supervision only starts at 13:00.
